Easter Continued

Dying Easter Eggs

The Easter Bunny has come!!  Sunday morning the boys woke up to easter baskets  from the easter bunny.
Sunday morning before church.

Easter Egg hunts

Both boys had Easter egg hunts associated with the schools.  For John David's class egg hunt, a few other moms and I hide close to 300 eggs for his class.  I think they found all but less than 10.  I sure could not remember where I hid the eggs.  Holt also got to find eggs with the first graders.

May

Wow, things have flown by. I can hardly believe that school is almost out and I am 10 weeks from having another little boy. I am thinking my last post was somewhere close to spring break time. When the kids were gone to Purvis for several days, John and I spent some quality time together and we went turkey hunting. On the second morning, we both killed one. I haven't been again. I figured one was enough for me. Although, John has spent many hours in the woods and killed several turkeys. I really wanted little John David to kill one but this was not his year. Here is a picture of the kill the morning of March 17, 2010.

March 23, 2010 After spring break, it was back to school and the regular routine. The following weekend was the spring campout with the boy scouts. We decided that this would be a good family trip. John did tell me that I did not have to go but I insisted on going and being with my family. All I need to say is being pregnant and camping in a tent on a slowly deflating air mattress does not mix.
Yes I was pretty miserable. I remember waking up and almost driving home at 2 am. Once the night over and the sun was up things seemed to be getting better. We finally made it home by noon and we all were exhausted.
Easter was coming upon us and I had to get ready for the easter bunny. The weekend before Easter, John and I decided to go ahead and give the boys a little present. The only catch was they had to find it in the woods with a GPS. It was a lot of fun. John had marked points with his GPS and the boys had to follow the coordinates to the present. Here are a few pictures of them looking for the present.

Tiger Badge

On this night, the scouts had the Blue and Gold banquet to recognize all scouts that have earned badges or other accomplishments. Here is John David getting his Tiger Cub badge.
Holt's preschool class took an exciting trip to Key Field to see the large tankers.

Is it a boy or a girl?

The day had finally arrived and by lunch time we would know the sex of the baby. We all headed to Jackson MS for a sonogram. Of course the John David and Holt were rooting for a boy. Me, well I really was hoping for another boy, but most of all I wanted a healthy baby. I love my boys and they are very special to me. As we watch the sonogram and we heard the news, Its a boy. We were all excited. The guys in the family were very excited about the news. Holt said, "Yes, no pink in the house." They were giving each other high five. Me I was excited also. We got some good news that everything appeared to be as it should, one healthy little boy.

An afternoon with hail.

No, this is not snow. It is hail! One afternoon in early March 2010 after picking John David up from school, we came home and there was about 4-6 inches of hail on the back deck. It was amazing. Of course, the kids loved it. They got there dump trucks and had a blast.

2010 Cub scout, Aircare

In February 2010, the cub scouts got a grand visit from the Air Care of University Mississippi Medical Center. The helicopter landed in the middle of the baseball field in Collinsville, MS. The scouts were so excited seeing the helicopter land and take off. They also got to ask questions and see some of the equipment.

Snow in Meridian MS 2010

Oh, what fun we all had in the snow. The boys spent the morning riding a knee board behind a four wheeler, sliding down the big hills and having snow fights. They were not really interested in building a snowman because it was not very adventurous. I spent most of my day changing their clothes, drying clothes and fixing hot chocolate. It was all worth it just to see the the boys having fun and enjoying the snow.

John David was able to ride all the roller coasters this time. Of course Holt was not but I do not think he really wanted too. This is at Disney Hollywood studios

Epcot Continued
Holt loves the garbage trucks. Why I do not really know. He got to push this little garbage truck around while playing this game.

This was pretty cool. The boys made there on videos. As you can see Holt is turning flips in the bottom of this picture.
